Thank you for attending the New Zealand Principals’ Federation Conference 2019
Nau mai, haere mai,
On behalf of the New Zealand Principals Federation and the 2019 Conference Committee, we thank you all for joining us at the NZPF Conference in Auckland from 3 – 5 July 2019.
In a time of huge potential change and the acknowledgement by many of the need to refresh our education system in Aotearoa NZ, the title Renaissance not Reformation was chosen for this conference. This signifies a time of renewal, new beginnings and ‘big’ step change in our sector, rather than the addition of continuous layers of smaller changes such as we have seen since the introduction of Tomorrow’s Schools in 1989.
The Maori whakatauki – Kotahi te tapuwae, he mano, he mano kei muri – (the first footprint is followed by 1000s upon 1000s) acknowledges where we have come from and that what we do today will impact on the futures of those to come. In the spirit of this sentiment, the 2019 Conference programme paid tribute to some education leaders of the past as well as looking ahead to the global trends and challenges of the future.
The NZPF Executive and Conference Committee were privileged to host you, and hope that the 2019 NZPF Conference was memorable, both educationally and socially. We hope it was an inspiring experience, in a great location, leaving you with a rejuvenated sense of leadership and purpose.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Joint APPA and NZPF Trans-Tasman Conference in Melbourne next year.
No reira, tena koutou katoa,
NZPF Conference Convenor
