Hauora Activities - Tuesday 9th September

A range of activities are available to participate in that take in the best Wellington has to offer.
Initially Earlybird delegates will be given access to register for their chosen activity and then activities will be available to select during the registration process for new delegates.  

Spaces on some activities are limited and there are also minimum numbers for some activities to run so we encourage you to register for your preferred option as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
For those who want to make their own arrangements during this time, please advise on the form that you do not wish to participate in an activity as this will assist our planning. 

CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Learn about craft bean-to-bar chocolate, chocolate making, and craft three of your own chocolate bars.
Let one of our chocolatiers guide you through the process, and choose from a variety of locally-sourced ingredients to come up with your own special flavours, using milk or dark chocolate base blends which are made differently and ethically, supporting cocoa growers and the planet.
Hot chocolate is Included.

CITY TOUR

Experience the best of Wellington, picturesque and unforgettably beautiful.
This tour will delight you with breath-taking scenic views and photo opportunities, along with the fun of experiencing first-hand some of our favourite tourist attractions.

CRAFT BEER TOUR

Come & experience two of Wellington’s Craft breweries, Choice Bros and Fortune Favours. Learn about the brewing process and what goes into a premium product. Enjoy 4 tastings at each location.

EAST BY WEST FERRIES

You haven’t experienced Wellington until you’ve seen it from the harbour.
Take a return trip on the ferry to discover the Eastern Bays. Stop for coffee at Days Bay before returning to Wellington. Coffee/cake voucher included.

FRENCH PERFUMERY WORKSHOP (FRAGRIFERT PARFUMEUR) 

Kick-start your creativity in the field of perfumery and fragrance. 
Take home your own perfume creation. Cable car ride included.

LORD OF THE RINGS TOUR 

Ready to see where it all started? This Lord of the Rings tour in Wellington takes you to Weta workshop and some of the finest hobbit holes in New Zealand. From filming locations to behind-the-scenes knowledge, our guides will make sure you’re immersed in the Middle-earth world of your favorite fantasy.

MEGEISTI HARBOUR CRUISE

Come aboard Wellington’s most luxurious sailing charter vessel.

NATIONAL LIBRARAY TOUR Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa

The National Library’s purpose is to enrich the cultural and economic life of New Zealand. They  collect, preserve and protect the documentary heritage of New Zealand, support other libraries, and collaborate with the international library community.

PARLIAMENT AND CITY TOUR

Visit New Zealand Parliament, one of the most iconic sets of buildings in Wellington. Introduction to our parliamentary processes, the architecture and history of the buildings. 
Includes a one-hour city tour.

Yeah, we throw axes! Learn the art of axe throwing starting with a one-hour lesson. Guided by your axe-pert you'll learn a couple different throwing techniques before playing some games to test your new skills.

Jump on an eBike and our guide will show you around the world-class Wellington Waterfront & let you in on everything from local secrets to spectacular highlights! Discover the coolest little capital in the world. Easy Riding for 2 hours.

WELLINGTON ZOO Te Nukuao 

Wellington Zoo is New Zealand’s first Zoo, and Wellington’s oldest conservation organisation, caring for animals since 1906. You will have a 1 hour guided tour of the Zoo, including feeding of a giraffe.

ZEALANDIA Te Māra a Tāne 

Zealandia is a 225-hectare ecosanctuary, a groundbreaking conservation project that has reintroduced a number of species of native wildlife back into the area, some of which were previously absent from mainland New Zealand for over 100 years. 
Set around a picturesque reservoir, Zealandia is home to some of New Zealand's most rare and extraordinary wildlife - all thriving wild in a world-first protected sanctuary.
