Government Gardens Guided Tour
Time: 2.00pm - 3.30pm
 

Originally known as Paepaehakumanu Motutara, today Government Gardens include facilities for bowls, croquet, petanque and golf.

 

There are many points of interest including the Arawa Soldiers Memorial, geothermal features including the Rachael Spring and Malfroy geyser and a number of buildings of historic interest.

 

Rotorua District Council also operates a nursery in the Gardens, supplying flowers, shrubs and trees for the many public gardens and reserves around the district.

 

Volcanic Hills Wine Tasting
Time: 2.00pm - 4.30pm

 

Everyone’s relationship with wine is different and we love hearing your stories, experiences and history. In the Tasting Room we promise not to bamboozle you with wine talk, but we will help you learn which wines you like and why.

 

We are on a mission to inspire the world to drink better wine! Join us for:

 

- Behind the scenes chat and tour of our winery

- A 5 wine tasting plus barrel sample in our barrel hall.

- Antipasto/ cheese platters

- Choice of favourite wine from the tasting line up, a bottle to take home.

 

Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve and Mud Spa
Time: 2.00pm - 4.30pm

 

More than just a place of myth and legend, this land has the power to excite and heal anyone who meets it, just as it’s done for centuries. A place where mud boils, and steam billows into the clouds above.

 

Experience New Zealand’s most active geothermal reserve and mud spa that excites and soothes, as it has done for centuries and join us for:

 

- A guided geothermal walk

- Mud Bath bathing

- Sulphur Spa bathing

 

Rotorua Canopy Tour
Time: 2.00pm - 5.00pm

 

The Original Canopy Tour is an unforgettable and enlightening adventure, perfect for all ages.

Journey deep into ancient native forest in small groups, of up to 10 people. Experience New Zealand like it once was from the top of the forest canopy.

Your amazing kiwi guides will lead your personal and unforgettable adventure. They are highly trained to keep you safe, make you smile, teach you amazing things and create memories that last you a lifetime. They will even hold your hand if required…

 

Light to moderate fitness is required.

Maximum weight limit: 120kg

 

Rotorua Guided Canopy Walk
Time: 2.00pm - 5.00pm

 

Join the Rotorua Canopy Tour team for an interpretive walk through their conservation project in one of NZ’s ancient forests. They’ll be sure to stop by the zip lines where you can see other conference delegates zipping through and over the canopy.

Mountain Jade Carving Studio and Store Tour
Time: 2.00pm - 3.15pm

 

Mountain Jade is a small, family-run business made up of artists and carvers. They lovingly craft authentic New Zealand pounamu and jade jewellery.

Join us for a guided tour of the jade carving studio followed by time in the store. You'll get to meet local Rotorua artists and see first-hand how they carve jade. Your guide will also explain the history of New Zealand's treasured stone - pounamu.

 

Polynesian Spa and Treatment
Time: Choice of 1.5hr sessions between 1.30pm and 5.15pm

 

Relax with an afternoon at the Retreat Day Spa at Polynesian Spa where you can follow one hour in the Deluxe Lake Spa Pool with one of the following 30 minute treatments:

Amokura Glass Blowing Demonstration

See how art is created right before your eyes! Witnessing how molten glass is shaped is one of the most unique and fascinating things to do in Rotorua!

 

Amokura Glass is Rotorua’s hot glass studio & glass art gallery. Run by artist Heather Kremen, the studio aims to create beautiful works of glass art while putting on a show for visitors. 

 

With over 10 years of experience, Heather brings a range of techniques and skills to her glass art. Each piece in the gallery is handcrafted on-site, ranging from high-end sculptures to beautiful gifts and souvenirs. Heather’s work mainly focuses on functional objects and simple, elegant forms designed to showcase the beauty of the interaction between light, colour, and glass.

 

 

Lakeland Queen Cruise
