Hauora Activities - Tuesday 12th September
A range of activities are available to paticipate in that take in the best Queenstown has to offer. Earlybird delegates will be given access to register for their chosen activity from April and activities will then be available to select during the registration process for new delegates.
Spaces on some activities are limited and there are also minumum numbers for some activities to run so we enourage you to register for your preferred option as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
For those who want to make their own arrangements during this time, please advise on the form that you do not wish to participate in an activity as this will assist our planning.
Arrowtown
Duration: 2.5hrs
Visit historic Arrowtown and enjoy free time to explore at your leisure. Browse in the boutique shops, visit the Lakes District Museum or take a stroll down by the Arrow River for some peace and quiet. Try your luck with gold panning.
Includes voucher for a Patagonia ice cream.
Body Sanctum Spa Treatment

Cargo Brewery Beer Tasting

Sip, sup and savour at local brewers - Cargo. Located at Gantley’s, Queenstown's oldest hospitality business. This historic stone building was built in 1865 by Patrick Gantley to provide food, drink and lodgings in the gold rush era. Enjoy a guided beer tasting of 4 locally crafted beers, matched with 4 delicious food pairings. Order your favourite from the bar and head outside to relax in the expansive beer garden.
Game Over

Head to Queenstown's indoor activity centre for a race around the track in an electric go-kart. Faster off the line these can deliver maximum torque instantaneously. Enjoy one 15-minute race before heading into the laser arena with your team for a live, action-packed laser battle, set in the Jurassic era. After a dose of healthy competition, have some fun in the arcade with over 40 different games.
Gin Garden Tasting

Broken Heart's Gin Garden is Queenstown’s first boutique gin tasting room. Located in Arthurs Point, it serves 12 award winning, locally distilled Broken Heart Spirits. Enjoy a private gin tasting of 4 gins led by the knowledgeable and passionate team and discover the beauty of the all-natural botanicals which awarded Broken Heart the Best New Zealand London Dry at the World Gin Awards 2021 and the Double Gold at the NZ Spirits Awards 2020.
Honey Craft Making

Hydro Attack

A cross between a fighter jet and a torpedo, skimming across Lake Wakatipu at 80kph, this is a ride you'll never forget! Dive 2 meters under the water, jump 6 meters out of the water, all in the hands of your experienced driver. Whatever else you’ve done in the name of extreme excitement, nothing has prepared you for a ride in the shark!
Ice Bar

Queenstown Ice Bar is an elevated take on the classic ice bar experience. Jewellery Workshop

A quick-fire 1 hr workshop where you will get to create one silver ring and wear your completed creation home! In this class, you'll develop some solid fundamental metal smithing skills in a short time. We will be working with flames, saws, files, and some exciting texturing stamps in the creation process. Perfect for the first-time jewellery maker. After the 1hr workshop you will have 30mins at leisure to explore Country Lane
K Jet

60-minute classic Queenstown Jet boat ride, departing from Frankton Marina and ending at the main pier in central Queenstown. Brush off the cobwebs and experience the thrills as you jet across the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu, through the tranquil beauty of the willow lined Kawarau River, before speeding into the shallow, fast moving braids of the Shotover River. The 43-kilometre, hour long adventure highlights will have your adrenaline pumping and laughs aplenty.
Kinross Winery

Your knowledgeable guide will transport you to Gibbston Valley offering insights into the local wine region along the way. Upon arrival, be taken on a guided tasting featuring Coal Pit, Hawkshead, Valli and Wild Irishman wines. Compare and contrast their differing styles without having to tour all over the countryside.
Million $ Cruise

Cruising aboard the Million Dollar One is a marvellous way to explore Lake Wakatipu and take in the stunning scenery from the water. You may like to buy a glass of wine or beer to enjoy as you watch it all pass by. During your hour and a half cruise you will leave the bay viewing the amazing mountains and head into the Frankton Arm of the lake, passing one of the world’s most scenic golf courses. The boat then follows the shoreline to view the magnificent homes on Kelvin Heights. This is a local family run business, and your hosts are the consummate story tellers so you will learn lots of interesting facts about Queenstown and its history.
Perfume Workshop
Duration: 2.5hrs
Design your own perfume at the beautiful Miller Road fragrance studio. During the workshop you will spend 2.5 hours creating your own bespoke perfume. You will have 60 perfumery materials to choose from including, Rose, Jasmine, Gardenia, Mimosa, Green Tea, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Oud & Tobacco. We will talk about how to make a balanced fragrance and you will learn how to construct your composition using our easy-to-follow system. Create a 30ml bottle of eau de parfum to take home.
Ride to the Lake E-Biking

A nice and relaxed scenic eBike ride along the shores of Lake Wakatipu. With experienced local guides, the ride starts in Kelvin Heights and runs around the stunning peninsula, over the Kawarau bridge, along the Frankton track, and ends in Queenstown Gardens. Listen to the comments from our knowledgeable guide, learn about local history and enjoy breathtaking views and local art in nature.
Skyline Gondola and 5 Luge Rides

Once is never enough! The iconic Queenstown activity begins with a scenic gondola ride to the top of Bob's Peak where panoramic views of the Queenstown landscape stretch before you. Head to the luge track for to experience the gravity-fuelled fun of the Skyline Luge. The purpose-built Luge carts put you in complete control as you take on over 1,600 metres of banked corners, tunnels and dippers. Once you’ve conquered the course, hop on the chairlift and do it all again, and again, and again. Gentle and leisurely or fast and adventurous, you’ll be hooked. Don't forget to visit the viewing platform before you head back down the gondola at your leisure. This can be used at any time.
VR Escape Quest

For an entire hour, you’ll be fully immersed in a mind-blowing, virtual reality world. Together with your teammates, go on an incredible VR Escape Room mission! Featuring the latest VR technology including liquid cooled computers and laser tracked headsets/controllers to deliver a stunning, leading edge VR escape room experience. Less than 1% of our players experience motion sickness.
Before starting your mission, you and your teammates will select your avatars, and get dressed! At the end of your mission, although physically separate, you’ll stand together in the virtual world for an avatar team photo.
