Natalia has been a Principal Analyst at the Ministry of Education since 2023. She leads three key areas of analytical work that support strategic workforce planning through data-driven insights:
- Regional Teacher Demand and Supply (TDS) Projection – identifies long-term education workforce trends and forecasts future scenarios of teaching workforce shortage, regional disparities and their drivers.
- Dynamic Aspiring Principal Career Pathways – a brave initiative tracing the complex journeys of New Zealand’s primary school principals—from beginning teachers to their first principalship. It highlights emerging trends that challenge traditional assumptions about leadership development.
- Secondary Subject Teacher Supply – a current focus on subject-level trends and shortages to inform targeted policy responses.
Natalia is passionate about data storytelling—translating complex analysis into insights that support real-world decision-making. She also misses her Labrador, who is poorly trained but undeniably adorable.
