Navigating the Future: Rips, Rollercoasters and Realities

Futurist Dr Cheryl Doig will introduce you to the art of scanning the world around you while keeping your feet grounded in the realities of today. The ability to look up and out has never been more important but how can you navigate for the future?

Cheryl will share some signals of change relevant to school leaders and take you to a place of anticipation. What futures are most compelling in your context and how do you become a positive ancestor for tomorrow? You’ve done so much and come so far so let’s celebrate your amazingness. And let’s continue to create a future of hope and opportunity.

This keynote will offer some practical ways of extending your influence and thinking beyond the world you know.  It’s about weaving past, present and future together and acknowledging heritage, whānau and what it means to be uniquely human. Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua. I walk backwards into the future with my eyes fixed on my past.

Navigating the Future: Smart change in Today’s World

Want a process for navigating today’s world for tomorrow? It’s complex right? Things don’t fit into little boxes or linear pathways. It’s a juggling act…

In this workshop Cheryl will introduce you to a futures tool that will help you make sense of the future. You will have the opportunity to chart some strategies to move you from today to tomorrow in order to meet your context and needs.
